The Human Resource division aspires to inspire all WSU employees and stakeholders to realise their full potential through delivering a world-class human resource experience that promotes high performance, efficiency, transformation and commitment.

- To foster and support a culture of one WSU Institution, which attracts and retains quality staff whose contributions and discoveries advance the strategic objectives of WSU.

Value Proposition
Our HR value proposition entails a total turnaround strategy for the Human Resource Department at WSU.
The strategic planning is geared for implementation from 2017 until 2025. This is a total rebranding of HR functions and focuses on a unified WSU.

To provide business, application and technical expertise to fully support the HR system implementation at WSU. To provide leadership and direction in the use of additional technologies to support HR processes. To continually seek ways to improve and enhance efficiencies in HR process and management reporting. |

HR Organisational Development |
To design and deliver processes and programmes, aligned to the WSU strategy, for implementation in faculties and departments. This includes building leadership and employer capabilities, enhancing performance and effectiveness, strategy development and the facilitation of change management initiatives. |
Staff Development |
To plan, develop, design, co-ordinate, implement and facilitate people development initiatives at WSU, and to satisfy the requirements of the skills development legislation. |
Organisational Design |
To assist in creating job and position structures, position descriptions, position grading and competency frameworks for all levels of work within the university. |
