Purpose:
The purpose of this Short Learning Programme (SLP) is to provide practical learning, guidance, and assistance in a real-world environment, specifically targeting the enhancement of clinical education through effective preceptorship. Preceptorship programs, prevalent in sectors such as nursing, medicine, education, and business, offer an excellent opportunity for students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, build essential skills, and learn from experienced practitioners.
This SLP aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in healthcare by equipping preceptors with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve as effective educators, mentors, and role models. By focusing on the professional development of preceptors, the program seeks to foster a culture of lifelong learning and reflective practice. Ultimately, this ensures that new healthcare practitioners are well-prepared to deliver high-quality patient care and address the evolving challenges of the healthcare workforce
