Dear Graduand,

Congratulations on successfully meeting the academic requirements for your qualification. In recognition of the significance of this milestone and its impact on your future professional and academic endeavours, the University will proudly host the upcoming graduation ceremony for you and your family in person.


Kindly take note of the following arrangements regarding the ceremony and the issuance of your degree, diploma, or certificate:

1. Confirmation of Graduation Status

Check your graduation status on the University student portal at https://ienabler.wsu.ac.za/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi_login using your student number and PIN.

2. Verification of Personal Details

Certification details are auto-generated from the information you provided during your initial online application to study at WSU. Please verify that your full name matches the name on your Identity Document (ID). For any discrepancies, promptly contact the Administration Office on your campus by 12 September 2025 to make the necessary corrections.

3. Graduation Ceremony Details

  • The University will confer all degrees, diplomas, and certificates centrally at the Nelson Mandela Drive (NMD) Campus, Great Hall, Mthatha, on Friday, 26 September 2025.
    There will be two sessions:
    Morning Session: 08:00
    Afternoon Session: 13:00
  • The official graduation programme, listing all graduands per faculty and per session, will be published on the University website.
  • Individualised invitation letters will be sent directly to your registered email address.

 

4. Guest Access

Each graduand is permitted to invite two guests only. Other family members will not be allowed on campus but may view the ceremony online from the comfort of their homes.

5.  E-Tickets

The University will issue electronic tickets for admission to the ceremony. Your access e-ticket and those of your two guests will be available for download from a link on the graduation webpage from 12 September 2025.

6. Academic Dress

You are required to wear the appropriate academic dress (gown, hood, and mortarboard) for your qualification. The order form, provided by the appointed service provider, Birch’s, is available on the University website.

7. Financial Clearance

Your degree, diploma, or certificate will be released only if all outstanding accounts with the University are settled. For account-related enquiries, please contact the relevant office:

 8. Special Needs

If you have specific physical requirements or accessibility needs, please inform the Examinations Department in advance so that the necessary arrangements can be made.

9. Additional Notes

- No refreshments will be provided at the ceremony.
- Academic records remain accessible online via https://students.wsu.ac.za/student_portal/index.php using your student number and date of birth.
- Graduands are encouraged to complete the graduation survey to provide feedback on their academic and student experience: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/acpQzANmR1.
