The course aims to train participants in ceramic skills such as wheel-throwing, coiling and the creation of ceramic art forms using soft and hard slabs. During the programme, the participants will learn ideation, designing, creation, finishing and firing methods. The course will cover professional practice, including contemporary ways of marketing, entrepreneurial skills and how to apply for funding.

The purpose of this course is to integrate of in- service training and skill development. WSU Alumni monitored by WSU staff will facilitate this SLP This highly practical module is aimed at beginners interested in learning a variety of sewing skills, techniques, and use of a sewing machine as well as anyone who already has some experience but wishes to perfect their technique to achieve a professional finish.

The purpose of this course is to teach how to take measurements efficiently and accurately and apply them correctly to develop your own pattern using personal and direct body measurements or size charts measurements.

Targeted population: Anyone who is interested on learning how to make clothing patterns or learn effective pattern making methods used in the apparel industry. This SLP is meant for both beginners and pattern making skill users

It is ideal for aspiring designers who want to start their journey into fashion, practicing designers who wish to refine their drawing and presentation skills, and fashion professionals who need to communicate and review design concepts with clarity and creativity.”
Mode of Delivery: Face to face facilitation mode of delivery. All assessments are compulsory and due dates are to be strictly adhered to. One project briefs will be allocated per unit that is a 1 assessment per unit. A brief together with study material will be provided by your teacher for the assessment of all the 6 leaning units.
