Programme Objective

Entry Requirements

The purpose of this programme is to produce highly trained graduates with a holistic view of the value of research in enhancing the country’s capacity to grow and utilize knowledge for the benefit of its citizens as well as for the betterment of life beyond its borders.

Entry is by selection. A Master of Science in Botany, Geography, Zoology or equivalent qualification and an average pass mark of 60% is required. Students who do not meet this requirement but interested will have to undergo a departmental assessment to establish their potential to undertake the programme. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will not be applicable. Note: Each case will be evaluated on its own merit by the HoD in consultation with the relevant Lecturers.
