The Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology is situated at the Buffalo City and Butterworth campuses and comprises seven academic departments across these two delivery sites. The Faculty offers seven Diploma programmes with extended offerings, as well as five Advanced Diploma programmes, designed to provide students with a strong balance of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise relevant to industry needs.
Aligned with the University’s aspiration to be an impactful, technology-infused African institution, the Faculty is committed to cultivating innovative minds that contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of South Africa and the broader African continent. Our mission centres on delivering high-quality education, fostering innovation through applied research, and strengthening partnerships between academia and industry to enhance graduate employability and entrepreneurial capacity.
