IMPORTANT ACADEMIC REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- First-Time Entering Student Registration
All admitted students are urged to make use of the opportunity and ensure that they register. Online guiding instruments on how to register are on the University website. Campus-based, face-to-face assistance has been made available to students who wish to access computer labs for registration.
- Space Application to Study at WSU & Qualifications Choice Options
The University online application process is still open but strictly applies to the advertised programmes on the University website.
Through this decision, an opportunity to increase the chances of admission at WSU is created by having more qualification choice options.
All prospective students are advised to make use of this advantage.
- Suspension of the G7 Rule
The G7 Rule is suspended with no conditions attached as a direct response to all COVID-19 unintended consequences that may have inhibited students’ academic performance.
This decision sets no precedent but is meant to facilitate the sensitive transition from the effects of the pandemic to the new normal of the 2021 Academic Year.
- Online Registration Registration Financial Block
The online registration financial block remains active in the system and the responsibility rests on a student to make sure that his/her funder follow all the necessary protocols to confirm with the University that the student is funded for the 2021 Academic Year.
This applies to First-Time Entering and Returning Students.
Scheduling of 3rd Examination
Faculties are expected to formulate and publish timetables and where applicable, work together with Campus-based Examination Departments.
