Admission Requirements
- The minimum entry requirements do not necessarily guarantee admission to any qualifications offered by the university. Admission depends on space availability and the student's overall performance.
- Please refer to section 14 of this prospectus for the entry requirements for students who possess a Senior Certificate (SC) or a National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V), N4, N5 and N6 Certificate/National N Diploma.
- A Higher or Advanced Certificate in a cognate field may be considered as an entry route into a diploma
- A 360-credit diploma in a cognate field may be considered as an entry route into a bachelor’s degree
- Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be considered an alternate qualification entry
- Applications from students with international school leaving results are considered in terms of:
- Higher Education South Africa (HESA) guideline document, " A guide to application for exemption certificates", and, where required, a submission of an international qualification to SAQA for benchmarking in terms of HEQC.
- Applicants who do not fully meet the minimum requirements for a specific qualification may be granted entry into the qualification under special circumstances, subject to Senate endorsement/approval
